Important meetings:  Gala Day June 11th at 1:30

Volunteers in Kingsport are moving forward with plans for Gala Days scheduled for Saturday, June 24th and Sunday, June 25th

Information concerning events is available at our website www.kingsport.ca as well as Facebook at www.facebook.com/kingsportgaladays, Valley Events, and the Grapevine.  An article in the Advertiser will appear shortly and posters will be displayed in various communities.  Times and locations of events will be finalized at the June 11th Gala Day meeting.  If you have offered to volunteer for Gala Days in any capacity please make an effort to attend.

A reminder to contact Helen Burns at hburns@xcountry.tv if you are donating baked goods. Helen would like to have an idea of how many baked goods she can expect to have for sale.

There have been several inquiries regarding Flea Markets during Gala Days.  Space is available on the west side of the wharf from 8-12 Saturday only.  Participants will have to supply their own table and remove all of their items by noon due to afternoon activities planned for the wharf area.  If anyone within the community wishes to hold their own sale of items, I am sure flea market enthusiasts would be thrilled.

Canada 150 will definitely be celebrated in Kingsport. Donna Giffin and Sharon Eaton are working together on a July 1st celebration to be held at the park located on Pleasant St. between Water St. and the highway leading to Medford.   Kelly Stevens is preparing and donating a celebratory cake for the occasion.  She personally contacted Ottawa for permission to use the 150 Logo.

The Lloyd Memorial Hall is available for rental at a responsible fee.  A wonderful space for wedding receptions, birthday parties, art and music get togethers.  Contact the KCA at their email address kcaoffice@xcountry.tv for rental information.
