The Kingsport Playground Committee is proud to present the official playground to be installed at Pleasant Street Park this spring. Through generous grant funding from Eastern Kings Memorial Health Foundation as well as Municipality of Kings Parks Playgrounds and Trails Grant and in partnership with Canning & District Recreation - CDRC. The Playground committee worked hard this year to fundraise just over $10 000 toward this project.

The playground will be built by Ocean Playgrounds. It will have an accessible fall protection surface and accessible swing along with two regular swings and one infant swing. It will also have a slide and climbing feature. We are still deciding on the colour scheme but you can look forward to this play space coming very soon!

Thank you to all of those who bought raffle tickets and donated money toward this important project in the community!

Also a big thank you to Active Kids Healthy Kids for the grant funding in 2024 that allowed us to install an adjustable basketball net on side of the pavilion as well as purchase a smaller toddler net, two disc golf baskets, and assorted balls and discs. When the snow melts, head down to the park and check it out. There is something for everyone!
